I've had 2 genuine chargers since I got my phone 16months ago and have been fine. I'm assuming you are buying cheap leads, I've used them too and they are rubbish. Worth paying £15 for a genuine one |

I get the cheap chargers for a fiver from the filling station. They get heavy usage but normally last at least 6 months.
Currently having problems because of crud in the charging socket. |

"Never had a problem with the iPhone charger on either my 4 or 5.
What happens to yours, does it literally stop charging or comes apart...?"
Stopped charging completely
Bought some expensive replacement then that's stopped as well others I have had say not compatible with phone after a week and pound shop ones just come apart
So I have tried all different ones but end up with the same probs each time |

She tried loads if chargers and just got a new phone. She was on contract ( with EE) took phone to apple store and they couldn't find a fault so replaced it under warrenty there and then. Hope this helps .. Ps if you do this make sure you back up everything on icloud first |

A top tip
to help the longevity of your phone charger cut about an inch n a half of insulation tape and wrap around the lead at ehe "phone" end including the fatter bit of rubber it helps with preventing the lead bending too much hence no pulled lead |
