I would go with a neutral colour that you can accessorise. I like bright colours in spring and summer and warm colours in winter. I'd pick a colour I can have with different colour accessories

Light beige walls will match your brown sofa. Then bring a colour into it to compliment and accessorise. Maybe olive green, lime or teal?Cushions..lamps..nik naks etc.

Also you could paint one wall as a feature. That matches the cushions etc..

Titz Towers, North Notts

Rainbow coloured. It's very inclusive and will be a talking point when you have friends round. I'll grant, most conversations will begin with, 'What in the name of Odin....' but still, it's different.

Tina has a point.

Rainbow is so good for childrens parties and by night it'd be a Gay Bordello ....

Thrown in a few chintz cushions and a big slipper and i'll be round in no time !

Teal is a nice shade to go with brown. Also deep shades of purple as a highlight. If you paint one wall darker it will draw the eye so have something pleasing hanging on it. I have pastels if semi naked women on mine, tastefully covered in sheer fabric

Decorate the dado rail with pictures of rubber cocks then call it a "dildo rail".
