Is it me, being fairly new on here, or is the chat rooms seem to be a "clicky". Where as the forums seem to be more friendly.
where do you spend most of your time on here? |

The chat rooms are too quick for me. I can't get the gist of the conversations most of the time.
There's more time to "think before you print" here in the forums |

Prefer the forum, a much better snapshot of people's personalities and their likes/dislikes.
Ironically though, it was a chat room that brought Mrs N and I together over 10 years ago. |

For my first three years 9 months on the site I used the chatrooms. I got to know a few lovely people in that time. It was hard to strike up a conversation in the main room and those you really wanted to get to know were often swamped. Moving to private chat was often difficult as rapport was difficult to establish.
Over that time I felt the chatrooms became more like a meat market than a place to meet like minded people.
I started using the forum just before Christmas and immediately met people I liked. The variety of threads enables people to express more of their personality and gives the opportunity for informed friendships to develop.
I wish I'd realised earlier

I don't understand the chat/ cam rooms. It seems to be full of people saying
hi
how are you
hi
look at my cock
hi
hello
I like the forums, learned loads, laughed loads, great for debate and more interesting than reading what people had for their tea on Facebook. |

Like others have said, I find the chat rooms too fast to keep up, I only ever went into Canada Chat for Forum invasions but haven't done that for ages (to be honest, I haven't worked out how to get my iPad to work in chat - I'm not very techy) |

I use and like both, it is better when you know a few folk in chat though or it's easy to get lost. I don't often put my cam on now as I get fed up with all the comments.... Even though it's just my face |

i don't think one is any more clicky than the others.... at the end of the day it is exactly the same in that those people would have probably gotten to know each other over time......
I prefer the forums if only for the fact that I can think about what I am saying on here.... the chatroom can be so fast that sometimes the thought has gone... |

Started in chat rooms, wondered in here,, went back to chat rooms,, came back to here
both are as bad/as good as each other
some threads read more like a slower version of a chat rooms at time,, and sometimes the regional chat rooms have good debate |

Id say the regional chat rooms are usually full of people who would use them regularly to either find meets locally or are there to hang out with people they know
The directing rooms are usually just to cure an itch.. bit of instant virtual fix |

I use the chatrooms more, thou only northern, and do prefer it in there as you can have a face to face convo with someone if they have webcam. Also banter can be more spontaneous.
I also enjoy the forums as you get a wider perspective of _iews. Both have their 'cliques' but that's only because those people are 'regulars' and they know each other. |

I've been in both and find the forums better. The chatrooms suffer from a few drawbacks in my (tiny) mind:
1, things move too quickly. By the time you've typed a comedy reply the moment has gone and you look like a loon.
2, a lot of the guys suck up to the fems like crazy. It's hard to get a conversation going when most lines are: 'you look hot' and it just so banal.
