Nope, not even close to half a sleeve, more like half a half sleeve!!
It's already worth it, so it's going to be amazing by the time it's finished. |

I hope you are happy with the result, but 40 to 45 hours for a sleeve seems excessive.
At a going rate of £70 - £80 an hour that's £2,800 to £3,600 !
I had my leg done from ankle to knee and all the way round and it took 12 hours.
My legs I dare say are bigger than your arms so why it is taking so long I can't reckon up in my head.
Am sure you'll be over the moon when it's done and as long as you are happy with tattoo and artist then all is good, but just make sure you aren't being milked in the process.
It just seems way excessive to me. |

Maybe it's an extremely detailed tattoo...which takes longer |

I did consider that, but 40 odd hours on an arm ? Really ?
My leg piece is detailed and intricate and as I say, took 12 hours.
I have friends who have fantastic pieces including full sleeves that have taken a similar amount of time.
As I said, as long as the lady is happy with her choices then all is good.
It just seems a hell of a long time to complete. To me. |

Loved it will take about 15 3hr session apparantly but can see why it's addictive
In the lyrics of the virgin Mary's 'baby use my body like a canvas' seems very pertinent |

Mine is an extremely detailed piece. It's going to be a movie sleeve. I have so far Blade swordfighting with Beatrice from Kill Bill, that took around 10 hours. I have a minion which took 2 hours. And currently halfway through the Fawn from Pans Labyrinth, he has so far taken 6 hours and will be finished in 3 weeks with a 3 hour sitting.

"Good work bro.
Getting my sleeve done is one of my goals for this year.
Anyone know any tattooists who are good with tribal design?"
What sort of tribal ?
If you like polynesian, try and find out if Roy Priestley @ Skinshokz in Bradford is doing any conventions in your area. |

I am nearly finished with a full back piece, and it has cost me a fortune, !but I love it. I would like to see the sleeve when it's done. I can only take 2 hours at a time. |

We've both got tattoos and wr love them. Guy is two sittings away from his sleeve being completed. Mind you it does help when his mate owns a tattoo studio. |
