Have you used Fix My Street?
It's like a miracle local government fix it site. You report a pot hole or other problem and they come and draw a white box around it. A few days later the problem gets fixed.
I have never seen them draw the white box or fix the problem but it just seems to happen when you use Fix My Street.

"they painted yellow boxes around ours last year, and when the paint had worn out this year, they came & put more yellow paint around them.
we still wait with baited breath"
Oooh! I wonder if box colour denotes a different grading for action?
Ours was fixed within days.

Just Google...fix my street
Pop in your post code & clik on the map exactly where the pothole is......they report it to your local council...they do a follow up by asking if the problems has been sorted.

Get on the web and see what happens. You don't have to speak to the council or make much of an effort at all.
