Hmm I came home and started to make bolognaise, mince browned, mushrooms added, went to add sauce and tomatoes only to find they wasn't any!
Ended up in the bin and ordered in, bloody expensive dinner for one! |

"Beef Stroganoff with wild rice & mixed green beans followed by a banoffee pavlova.. Nom.Nom ooooh how do you make the ban offer pavlova?"
Instead of fruit & cream, cut bananas put in bottom, layer of toffee sauce, cream & keep working up. Finish with cream & chocolate gnash drizzled on top & flakes of chocolate! |

Just needed to add garlic (fresh or dried) and basil and parsly (fresh or dried)to the tinned tomatos to make a basic sauce. Or else you could of put the cooked meat in fridge till tomorrow, it would of been fine. |

I know but bolognaise needs made the day before and I live alone and normally do ready meals! So for me to actually 'make something' is a big deal
Oh and I can cook, I just choose not to |

Beef brisket dry rubbed with seasonings, covered with bacon, and slow smoked on the pit for 13 hours, mopping it with a homemade mopping sauce every 45 minutes. It's a lot of work but taste like angles are dancing on your tongue. |

3 med leeks, 1 large spud,
thinly slice leeks and dice spuds - put on the lowest heat with small knob of butter - small amount of water - put lid on and sweat veg until leeks are soft - stir to prevent sticking - add pint of stock and about 1/4 pint of milk - pepper to taste - bring to boil then simmer on low for about half an hour - blend and enjoy - looks like snot but tastes divine |

Today I made, a quiche, cheese Bacon, mushroom and onion and that will do me nicely two days with salad.
Other than that, I can get a dab hand to most things, Indian proberly one of my best, and an Apple or rhubarb crumble, amongst a few old fashioned dishes.

If it is meat, it is usually chicken. Done as various curries, or honey and gorgeous mustard sauces and similar as faves. Used to grow loads of stuff to add variation, including bean sprouts that I find tasty thrown in to lots of dishes. Really love making soups though and grow my own watercress for them and other stuff. A winter fave is cottage pie with any odd stuff thrown in, including loads of veg. Thats veg, not vag, in the cottage. |
