3D tv's worth the money? and if so what is the quality of material out there for them?

For me the ability to view things in 3D is a bonus add on, I bought my led tv for the overall picture quality that you get. Also they're not actually that expensive anymore until you go over the 47" barrier

I bought one last year and I have probably only watched 4 things in 3d which where good but I always forget about it

Already a dead technology.

Don't make any big investment in it. The industry has already dropped it for the next shiny big thing 4K TV (ultra hd)

Granted, it's a bit if a gimmick but it's a fun one for those huge blockbuster movies that pull 3d off well. The overall picture quality when not in 3d mode sold us our current tv tho'.

Waste of money I reckon...but us boys will always want the newest, biggest, fanciest toys on the market and will fall for it every time summat new comes out.... We are such dickheads....as my other half keeps reminding me...

Watch most of the sport that's offered in 3d it's ace!

Ah ok, you see I like to force the 2d pic into 3d when watching certain things on HD channels. National Geographic is good for that too as well as sports

Ive not bothered, as wearing headwear to view is not my idea of fun. When it is all super realistic 3d and no specs required, I might consider it. Not a big tv viewer though, I prefer more active fun.

Weve got one and we watch the sport in 3d when its on.. its good to watch.. other than that we forget we have it sometimes.x
