People around the world have found their iPads and iPhones frozen by hackers who are demanding cash ransoms to unlock their devices

Sounds like it's a CryptoLocker kinda hack

My apple hasn't been hacked and does not have a virus.

And doesn't have loads of makeshift security solutions from mchaffie or whatever's to try and somehow make windows work.

Ignore me! I have just done all of that and it is back up and running (I do have my blonde moments at times)
