or not??
2 days ago, the wife broke her wrist, a really nasty break too according to the hospital.
but she said what hurt her the most, was when they cut off her wedding ring.
we have never taken them off since we put them on each others finger.
the question is, do you think this is too much sloppy sentiment? are you the same over things like this or not? |

I can understand the upset.
Take solace in that the ring wasn't taken off as the result of a breakdown but for medical reasons.
Wishing her a speedy recovery x |

Over the rainbow, under the bridge |
My mum was upset at having to remove hers for an op. She'd not taken it off for 25 years. But then she discovered an engraving in it which said 'Lucky Star'. This had been my parents' song when they first met. It's from Singing in the Rain. We played it at her funeral.
She would never have seen it again if she'd never taken it off.
Don't underestimate sentimentality. |

Find a good Jeweller, give them the ring and get it remade to the same design from the same gold, will cost a few bob, that's for mastercard, the look on her face will be priceless |

Have it repaired and when the wrist has healed make a special occasion of putting it back on, retake your vows together and always keep that sentimentality it's precious |
