a temporary promotion has come up at my work.
To apply for it you need to be out of my probation period which i wont be by all of 2 weeks (although i have worked there for a year, i was working through an agency until January this year).
I have lots of relevant experience for the role and am ken to develop my career etc
I am wondering if i should apply despite not meeting the whole criteria, would it be reasonable to ask them to overlook the 2 weeks? |

Yes. You should go for it. Opportunities like that don't come all the time.
If they look at your work ethic and the way you've been working. That probation period shouldn't matter.
...i've been in a similar situation. I went from receptionist to a full on file handler with my own clients, my own room and laptop.
Good luck x

I'd contact the person who would be the line manager of the oust and ask them.
If the company like you then they will overlook the 2 weeks I'd expect, that or delay the closing date or similar to show you to apply.
It seems silly that they would deny themselves the employee that they thought must suitable for a post. Recruitment costs a fortune. |

highlight your level of experience, the fact that you could slip into the role with little or no difficulty and you would hit the road running..
the more positives, the less the 2 weeks becomes an issue.....
good luck |
