You are probably building a bit more muscle (which weighs more than fat), so it sounds as though you are burning fat and building a little muscle....good work! Hope that helps xx |

if injury permits
keep doing ur walks, try swimming aswell.
at home get some sit ups and press ups done every night before bed and every morning. bodyweight squats are good aswell if you do enough reps
eventually join a gym where you can take it to the next level |

Fat and muscle weigh the same - i wouldn't worry about your weight if you're dropping dress sizes and low impact regular excercise and a good diet are good for you, keep up the good work! Z |

So why do the weight-watching women of the world preach the misinformed belief that lean muscle weighs more than fat? I find most individuals use this erroneous rationale to soften the blow of the scale. When the numbers on the scale begin to tip in an unfavorable direction, it is easy to find comfort in the theory that muscle weighs more than fat—especially if you are resistance training.
While fat and lean muscle weighs the same pound for pound, their composition varies immensely. Muscle has a leaner appearance due to its high density, whereas free-floating, Jello-like, fatty tissue needs more space to jiggle around, due to its low volume. Hence, someone with a high body-fat percentage will look overweight in comparison to an individual with a high lean tissue percentage.

A pound of muscle weighs the, same,as a pound of fat ....they both weigh a pound!!! There is just more in the fat pound than the muscle pound. |

How is that even possible?
Pound of muscle and a pound of fat... Both weigh a pound.
The difference is muscle is more compact than fat.
Good example is a ton of lead and a ton of feathers, they both weigh a ton but you'd need a much bigger container for the feathers than the lead! |

to the OP. another tip is do do ur power walk on a morning with an empty stomach. you wont be burning the calories you`ve consumed for brekky before hitting the fat reserves u really wanna be targeting
in the morn your bods already in a fasted state so getting some cardio in during that timeframe is great for dropping bodyfat |

Regardless of which has a greater density, keep up the better eating and increasing your fitness...
It can only be good for you regardless of dress size etc. Although such things hero with the positive feedback.
Be nice and gradual with increasing your exercise if you've had an injury. To much too soon can really cause a set back.
The suggestion of swimming is great. It's very low impact, the water supports you nicely and it's a result good even exercise for the whole body.

Apart from swimming I have found skipping to be the best form of cardio. If you do it as a circuit, 2min skipping, 2min mountain climbers and then a quick rest. Do this a couple of times and its a great workout. |

Exercise has taught me to have love for everyone, no one is perfect, and if a person always comes across as perfect i love them more because i know inside they are tight and could be troubled and dont let anyone tell you peanuts are fattening. Eat as many as you want.and if your teeth are sensitive then eat peanut butter till you feel sick and magical things will happen to you. .goodnight and godbless. x x X byee . . Love you x x X |

Well done for sticking to the regime and changing and losing those pounds
Sounds like you are doing a lot of exersise, and the type you are doing won't make muscles bigger but it will make them denser. So your muscle will gradually weigh more but not gain in size, so the fat you lose will result in more volume loss that the muscle will gain in volume. Hence the size loss but not weight loss. Don't worry about the weight. If you look great and you feel you look great, it's the only thing that matters.
Gradually as your muscles become more dense they won't get continue to gain volume as quick, but because they need more calories to operate you will begin to lose weight and size. But don't get hung up on the weight xx
Keep it up! |

The fat vs muscle weight debate, I'm pretty sure that 500g of butter takes up more space than 500g of steak.
And you can fry the steak in the butter afterwards |

We'll done my love, muscle is denser and therefore heavier than fat, so you can loose size without loosing weight, and if you've just started exercising, you will start to tone your muscles, besides which, if you tone your body, the effect will snowball because the more muscle tone you have the more calories you will burn (muscle burns calories) and the fat will reduce. Any exercise will tone your muscles, so walking is a good start, got to say you already look extremely hot to me, I see perfection on the horizon. Proud of ya girl x |

It's not that a lb of muscle weighs more than a lb of fat....
It's the mass that weighs more/less.
If you could remove a portion of someone's fat and the same size portion of someone's muscle the identically sized slice of muscle. Would weigh more than the exact same mass of fat.
The bricks and lead analogy is bang on.
Fill a shoe box of lead and a shoe box of feathers and the same mass will have a huge difference in weight.
Stand two men of the same height next to each other... A fat guy and a bodybuilder and you may find the bodybuilders actually heavier |

"A kg of muscle weighs exactly the same as a kg of fat. "
Of course it does, but because muscle is more dense there is less of it than fat. So a 1kg of fat would be bigger than 1kg of muscle. |
