U tried Oasis in Brum?

Charity shops have some interesting accessories for cosplay.

Some cosplay is work of art.

I'm mostly into comic book characters. Tall, tiny waists, long legs, big boobs.

I want to be Catwoman most. Jim Balent's Catwoman in the purple catsuit. I'd look ridiculous at the moment.

Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Zatana, Batgirl...

Look on ebay. I got my superhero costume from there.

As for "fat cosplayers", I believe that anyone, short/tall/fat/thin/whatever, should be able to dress as their favourite character.

I mean come on, most characters, especially women, are almost nothing other than tits and ass. The men are like roid freaks.

I don't look as buff as the character I have but I don't care. It gave me a lot of confidence to wear it.

*And breathe*

Being a black guy it's hard to find a good character to cosplay as most anime is japanese, I only started doing all this for my daughter but I've now got into it and its our thing now plus seeing some of the cosplay girls, well google it and you will see lol

My daughter is heavily into cosplay, she likes that anime that has characters named after countries.... no idea what it's called.

Afro Samurai?

I just did a quick search for black anime characters.

I think that's it's nice you do with your daughter. Hope my kid (whenever that happens) is like that.

I'm a regular cosplayer, and being a larger lady I echo the sentiment that you can cosplay your characters even if you may not have the 'correct' body shape.

I amend costumes to flatter what I have whilst still keeping it recognisable, and corsets are your friend!

I'd also point out there's a lot more to cosplay than anime or Star Wars. I recently attended a con where a Hobbit cosplay group almost won the competition.

The twist? All those dwarves were women
