I do read profiles, although I don't send out prospective messages.
If it's clear that your's hasn't been read then why not simply copy'n'paste your entire profile text and send it back as a reply

When I had a singles account I had it hidden for a while so no text and put the pictures into private gallery, and I'd still get people saying how great I looked or sounded. Idiots. It's hopeless! |

I find it quite ironic. I had a well written comprehensive profile up to a couple of months ago. I now have a short profile that says I'm not meeting. However I have much more interest now than I did before.
