I distinctly remember having a Nokia 8810 it was tiny compared to today's phones. What was your first?

A huge beast with a flexible cord attached to a battery.

Think it cost about two grand and calls cost about £5 a min.

But needed it when on site, Motorola I think.

Followed by a brick phone, dropped down three flights of stairs

Not a scratch, then drove off and left it on roof of the van.

Boss was not happy

Fucked if I can remember, maybe a Nokia or Motorola but it had a whizzy little aerial that could be screwed off (fnar, fnar) and you could use either rechargeable batteries or normal ones...was about 15 years ago and I only got it cos I'd been attacked by my ex sister in law (long story) and ended up in police station for hours and my mam rang cop shop to find out where I was cos my dinner was going cold (embarrassing or what)
