Jools is nails and only cries due to hormones. Other than that she is tough.
Me on other hand am a huge wuss.
Never used to be. Once I hit 40 even adverts sometimes set me off
Lol |

Gwen Stacy dying - why Spidey why?!
Tears in my eye watching Spiderman with my wee boy.
I'm ashamed.

We last cried in April for many various things, but it was all just emotion of good things happening that reminded us of bad things. We are both emotional people, hide it well, but B is a real softie. |

The advert where the two boys are playing and having fun then at the end it's the dad and the boy playing but by drinking orange squash he was suddenly the best mate rather than dad.

I cry very rarely but it's been more frequent in the past year. I don't remember the last time though I know what would have triggered it.
I am more likely to cry from frustration than anything else. |

The last time I really cried was when I was madly in love with a woman 30yrs ago when she finished with me. I promised myself never to cry again over anything, but give me a film with a soppy ending and I well up with tears.Does anyone know why thay happens because it non plusses me. |

Um, two days ago?! It was only a welling up though rather than a proper bawling. Mix of anger, sadness, frustration and hormones. Mostly self-inflicted so I had a word with myself and manned the fuck up. |

It is because the film or song resonates with experiences or feelings you have had in the past or deeply held desires. Those experiences or desires have an emotional charge that is triggered by what you are watching, hearing etc in the present.

It's been a long time since I've cried. I'll happily admit to being emotionally colour blind and sometimes struggle to empathize. It's not intentional, just who I am. |

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully they've caught it early enough to treat. Best wishes."

"Define cry? Lol
Emotional outburst "
Have I lost my temper - yes I have, but didn't cry though it.
Have I sobbed over something whilst upset to the point where I looked a mess and you could tell something was wrong - no I haven't.
Have I had a single tear fall from my eye because I was very upset about something - yes I have and it was just that. One leakage per occasion. A couple of times in my whole life this has happened. |

I cry all the time now since my mum died at the end of January...
anything can set me off, a piece of music or a film or even a passing 'I love you mum' from my rugrat |

About half an hour ago.
A freak gust of wind blew my burger from my hand. It was bouncing down the road, so in total shock, I took after it as fast as my little legs would carry me.
I was making good ground until I tripped on an acorn which appeared from nowhere, which caused a nasty boo boo on my knee. Arm outstretched, I looked up with hope in my eyes.... Then a fucking lorry ran it over!
Sad times |

I lost someone close in June last year, suddenly and violently. I can completely relate to what you are saying. Really odd things set me off sometimes but it's usually more weeping than full on crying for me. |

I've cried quite a few times over the last week due to pain and frustration about the causes of that pain. It seems I've finally found out how much is too much to bear.
On the bright side my docs are taking it seriously and are trying to work out a solution. And the immediate pain is resolved, we just need to make sure.it doesn't happen again.
As for crying over emotional stuff, that's been fairly recent too cos I'm very aware of how loved I am and how amazing it is to be loved. |

I've remained stubbornly cheerful when family members have croaked, cars have been pranged and funerals have been attended. Not because I'm cold hearted, but because I see it as part of life and look on the nice side.
However, whenever a family pet dog dies, I cry like a baby. |

I cry quite a lot, it's a form of release, I am not very good at expressing myself with words, so when I'm upset, happy, scared or just generally emotional I cry, I'm probably the softest person you'll ever meet |
