Probably more the opposite.
I'd say it's because you're not stimulated that makes you think you're bored.
I boring person wouldn't want to be stimulated.

I think boring people get bored easily.
I hate it when I get messages saying "bored here, come to my hotel" - why would that be appealing? Interest me and many things fall into the potential category. Act like a boring bored thing and I am not interested.

I don't know, maybe.
I get bored easily and I'm very easily distracted. Especially by shiny things and gadgets.
Often when I'm "bored" I have lots of things to do but nothing I want to do. I'm probably lazy as much as bored. |

There is a guy on my local update feed that is always bored according to his status, the last few were "bored in Reading" "bored at work" "bored bored bored" "bored in Camberley" OMG, you sound like and bag of laughs, love to meet you, NOT lol |
