I've had my car for 20 months now...only just discovered it's got a 2nd cigarette lighter charger thingy in the console in the back...all those trips where I've had my satnav plugged in and I couldn't charge my phone or kindle at the same time - I only realised when I was coming home in back of car school colleague's car and spotted hers so thought I'd check my car...
Anyone else been living in joyful ignorance of useful things in their lives? |

After the heat of last summer, having a job driving around and melting at traffic lights, I found out in winter, my new car DID have air con, I just never found it when I needed it |

My ex bought an automatic and when I borrowed it he told me you had to flick the drive stick to change gear. But it's an automatic I said,it changes gears itself. After 10 minutes of driving it I worked out the controls and showed him how to put it into auto. He had only had it 6 months |

I spent a year messing about with an FM transmitter to play my IPOD through my car stereo. Then I discovered I had an aux socket in my glove compartment |

Mondeo? Daft place to put it....I moaned for ages about the sunglasses holder in our car until I realized it would hold them nicely the right way round "
The sunglasses holder was the clincher for me...and my cousin who was Saleswoman knew it...
Her: "Here Caz, there's a special holder for your Raybans"
Me: "Excellent, I'll have this £20k brand new CMax instead of the £2k Picasso I was looking at" |

My ex husband's mam did that too...walked 3 miles home and her husband asked where David was and she realised she'd left him outside the Co-OP and had to go back for him...it was 1959 so a different world as you say |

You can buy a 4 way car cigarette lighter socket for about £2 - just plug it in and you have 4 device sockets |

You have to be a special kind of idiot to forget you own a car for two days....took me a good five mins once I'd remembered I owned it to figure out what had happened to it....I'd parked it on the street behind work. |

"too many jackets !" Unless youre appearing on excessive hoarders, Im not sure you can have too many clothes. As for stupid things done, Im sometimes in 4th gear and think it is 6th - driving happily but wasting fuel.
