A mum to cut two of her children's throats 
I've just seen on the news(wales) that a women in her late 20s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on her two young children ages 7 and 16months
I could never think of harming my children and as a mum I just want to protect them from harm..

i will never understand parents that coud do this either, my twins drive me insane at times, some days i constantly feel like i have the words" no thats naughty" stuck on repeat and have to do the old walk away and count to 10 rountine with is extremely stressful but i could/would never wish/do them.any harm |

I had postnatal but never once though of harming them...
And surely after 16months you no as a parent you need to go and get it sorted if things aren't right?? |

Mental health isn't as easy as knowing you need help when you're suffering. It can go undetected for years. Let's not be judge and jury for this woman till we know the full facts. Don't get me wrong I'm sickened by this news and can't imagine ever hurting my kids that way but compassion to this woman, if she's ill, costs nothing. |

oh if life was that simple!
There are a number of different factors that affects every person differently.
Yes it is a tragic story, i cant comprehend doing it myself but i believe that my failure to comprehend shows that it was the actions of a troubled mind.
Could be post natal deprssion, could be all manner of mental health illness. There is still a massive stigma around mental health which makes it difficult for some people to stand up and ask for help. |

Serious mental issues and definitely not fit to keep the kids. More treatment than jail though although a secure hospital will no choice to leave. |
