Thinking back to the other day on placement, a pupil turned round to me and said,
"mummy and daddy told me how I was born last night"
me: "why did they tell you that?"
"because I asked. Mummy says that I was asleep in her tummy and wouldn't wake up so daddy had to put a stick inside her that reached her tummy and poke me so I would wake up and start growing".
me: "oh right..."
"but I don't think I believe her because babies come out your bum so I think daddy put the stick up her bum and thats gross. Why would mummy let daddy put a stick in her bum? They could have shaken her tummy and shouted wake up instead".
I trying my hardest not to burst out laughing at his deduction. Had to tell him to go ask them when he got home. Bet that was a fun experience that night! Pmsl.
