I'm talking about the massive machete I found in the loft had to call the police to come and remove it safely, given we've been in the house since 1995, the chances of them finding any history on said weapon is remote, although it was a bit of excitement for the neighbours watching when I big van pulled up and 6 officers got out, bit of overkill I thought but hey, lovely chaps all the same |

I remember similar when I was cearing out my late mums house, there were a number of guns, all non workers, but I rang the police and asked them what I should do
The sent round an armed response unit and two police cars, the naighbours were horrified as it was quite a gentile area and to see them walk out with half a dozen assorted weapons was hilarious |

If 15y/o rebel fighters in Africa can wield a machete I'm sure you could have picked it up and taken it to the police station yourself. What a waste of police resources. |

I didnt ring 999, I rang the local station and explained clearly what I found, and see if there was a patrol passing could they pick it up |
