A well written profile is really what the initial attraction is for us, especially me, the female. I look at that before I look at the pictures.

A message that shows that not only have they read my profile (I have ways of finding out), but that includes some sort of indication that they actually want to meet me, and not just anyone. 'Wanna fuck' is not going to cut it. 'How are you?', although a good start to a longer message, is a bit crap as a one liner. On the other hand, a long message starting with 'we meet in a bar, you in a tight black dress and stockings...' which then goes on to detail what you want to do is presumptuous to say the least.
If you try to get across the friendliness that you'd show if you chatted up a woman in a bar, you should be OK. |
