Name my boat...

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

Actually it's not my boat, it's my mate's...it's unnamed and he hasn't decided on a name as yet...obviously I've suggested he calls it after me - I think Caz's Charm would be a lovely name and reflects my personality but, with some trepidation, I thought I'd open it out to you lovely forumites

My mate is a Tgirl called Nicole Eve so maybe something round that or something with TV as the initials...

Anyway, over to you lot...if he picks one of your suggestions I may talk him into inviting the winner out on Windermere (and if it's someone who's previously took the piss out of me, I'll be coming along with binbags and chain and I'll let BlondeTaz have his Dexter moment)

I always thought 'The Bootle Bumtrinket' was a good name for a boat. It's from 'my family and other animals'

But Cumbria was all part of the Welsh thing wasn't it? That's why it's called Cumbria and Wales is Cymru. You're all related.

Cumbric was a language related to Old Welsh and there are many Cumbrian dialect words and phrases which take their origins from this language. Courtesy of Wiki Sorry Caz, back to the naming of the boat!

Ooo I wish I didn't get mind blanks at moments like this but I can't think of a thing but I'll look forward to seeing what the winning name is as we stay quite regularly in a hotel on the lakes edge there so would give a little wave if we ever saw it bobbing by

Apparently it's bad luck to change a name and it was the canal boat that wouldn't start (he changed the name of that one)...however when we got to Windermere the fecking cabin cruiser wouldn't start either cos it seems water had got in the fuel tank through a perished o-ring (fnar, fnar)...hopefully he's got one or both of them going today

Oh, lol, no....i wasn't offering my advice on marine superstition....thay was my candidate for the boats name! I see how that could have been misconstrued though and on second thoughts it was needlessly long winded......
