Bat out of hell is good, if lengthy.
Peter Kaye was once compering a Stars in their eyes type gig and one of the artists was a Meatloaf impersonator.
They started the intro, 90 seconds of it and the fellow appeared, starts singing. No sound. The microphone was shot. They replaced it and tried again. Another 90 seconds. Same thing. 3rd time, the crowd were getting restless. This time he starts singing and there was sound. Unfortunately, he sounded nothing like Meatloaf and to a man, the audience shrugged and went back to their beer and conversations. |

Groove is in the heart Deee-lite. Shame on you all for forgetting this.
Babooska Kate(s) Bush, pure hussy.
Yellow Ledbetter Pearl Jam. Happiest sad song ever.
Voting with a bullet. Corrosion of conformity. Smash those audio back doors in.
Snap your fingers, snap your neck. Prong. See above.
Connection Elastica. Move those feet.
F##k me pumps Amy Winehouse. So playful, so sadly missed.
Never let me down again Depeche Mode. Immense.

"i know its a new ish song
but crazy in love by beyonce still gets me to want to dance and shake my booty "
As much as I shouldn't admit it, it's a guilty pleasure:
I bloody love the intro to "Love On Top" by Beyoncé.
But my favourites have to be "Boxes" by Charlie Winston and "Dust Bowl Dance" by Mumford & Sons. |
