Says they want to meet you but goes quiet when asked to chose a day and place, only to say a week or two later they really want to meet you.
Frequently doesn't reply to messages, even those asking a specific question, (just deletes, so you know they didn't forget).
Are they a friend? Or a fantasist? Or keeping you in reserve for when they don't have anything better?
Your thoughts please? |

The latter, really not worth the bandwidth. |

Certainly not a friend. At this stage I would tend to think the other party had been given enough chances and I would block and forget. This happened to me recently with a fella I really wanted to meet, but you've got to accept the situation sometimes. Time is precious isn't it? |

Happened to us with someone twice, and he's reared his head again.
Come to the conclusion he only vaguely wants to meet us, shows great enthusiasm for a day or two, arranges meets and then disappears from communicating, he again has reared his head and shown an interest.
I said to Mr D, I don't expect to be anyone everything but I feel we're purely an "if theres really nothing better on offer" plan. |

I don't do spontaneous meets. It takes a few days planning. I also have to be in the mood which lately, a lot of the time, I'm not.
I have a feeling if I said 'yes, now' when he appears it'd happen but otherwise not. |

"I want to be made to feel that they cannot wait to meet me....to want me and to feel lustful not like a shag in a dark ally..."
Agreed.
If they're getting veris then they clearly are meeting and aren't fantasists. They're just not that into me. |

I would never arrange to meet someone and then go quiet - it's not respectful and so, they aren't really a 'friend'.
I am guilty of not replying to messages as I'm a mixture of being both lazy and a little flakey. |

That's how I saw it too in our case, he's not a time waster clearly as he has plenty of positive feedback. I think he was merely wanting us there just in case his better offers didn't come off.
When he contacted us a third time with a wink and FR I just thought, yeah right ya cheeky twat! I don't think we're special but we're worth more that that, and so are you Virago, much more!

"Fantasists but they wouldn't be on my friends list. "
I now only have people I have met on my list. But if they ignore a message then they are off it. Even a hello is fine. But ignored and deleted messages are not on if you've already met. |

Fab friends who delete one of my messages without responding get the Goldfinger treatment - once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action. I don't mind if they don't stay in contact for a while, even a few months but ignoring me? No way, Jose |
