I am a mixed raced male, mum is White English and father is Turkish. I was talking to a women on here for a week or so and she asked for a face pic and I did send her a clear pic, then we even had a conversation on the phone. After our phone call she sent me a message saying please send me the face pic again. So I did.. Then she replies "sorry looking at youre pic more carefully it seems you're an ethnic and I don't meet ethnics and anyone who is a minority" I understand women have preferences but after all that, that is just plain ignorance. |

What an awful attitude to have!  You had a lucky escape I feel.
So. If she was to adhere to her own criteria. She wouldnt meet anyone. Seeing as no body is of pure heritage.
Does her not meeting minority include the Welsh, Scottish and Irish then? What about half English half Welsh! Etc....
You cant go making statments like that without looking at it holistically. Thats like saying you are a vegetarian who cares about animal welfare while you sit on a leather couch wearing leather shoes lol.
How does she differentiate? Silly woman. I wouldn't worry about it in the slightest. Any problem is hers not yours. |

If u are half turkish u are probably darked skinned ?
Some women won't meet asian men. I suspect she was one of them and thought u were asian on the basis of your pic.
Ignorant yes, but sadly one of those things.

Whilst she has come across as ignorant and extreme, and i would say a timewaster using your ethnicity as an excuse, we all have preferences we have to respect them and move on. |

Ignorant -yes. Timewaster - no. The timewaster label gets thrown about too much on here. He was talking to her for a week and then for her own reason she didn't want to meet. Just because hes sent a few messages and she doesnt want to meet doesnt mean she's a timewaster. No meet was arranged, he wasn't stood up so not a time waster. |

Actually we were supposed to meet today but I re-arranged it for next Saturday. She saw my pic first and complimented it. We flirted and talked after that and she even added me on here. Then after our phone call she said it was nice talking to you, she then said can I see your face pic again please so I re-sent it and that's when she Replied... "I didn't really look at you're pic properly last time and you look ethnic and I do not meet anyone who is a minority" so time waster... Maybe not... Ignorant..? I'm glad it all came out anyways. I respect women's preferences on race but after arranging a meet and adding you and flirting then realised your tan isn't fake it's due to the fact you might be "ethnic" is just narrow minded and shallow. Anyways rant over! Lol |

That's how fab has been for me for the past couple of years. Did used to bother me a bit before but i just don't give a shit now.
...i just don't get how you can flirt with someone, give them all sorts of compliments etc etc and then say 'nah, your skin tone does not do it for me'. So, why were we speaking all this time?

I would absolutely love it if I got a message with "fare thee well" in it. Even if it was a rejection I would admire their writing style. |
