Cracking! I'd love a night out down there. However, I must warn everyone, I find the accent piss funny and will probably have to be sat on for my own safety when the first person mentions something is, 'bostin'  |

Will this one go ahead or you going to cancel it like most if the other socials you've organised ??
Am I annoyed, well after making arrangements and forking out for hotels to stop over in Brum so I can have a beer or two on one of the many socials (organised by OP) only to have them cancelled a day before ..... Yes I am annoyed
Ps. There are others annoyed too, before I get the whole forum buddies adding their two pence worth
The German markets fiasco still rings a bell, gladly still went ahead as people had arranged to travel from a far |

Well it was a planned drinks round German markets and a taxi from Brum to wolves after 12 is a rip off, so I booked a room
Only for this, as well as other OP socials to get cancelled
Oh well I hope this one goes ahead, I just fear for those making arrangements and travelling from afar

Yes taxis are a rip off after 12 midnight thats why when i have a night out in brum i usually do make a night of it and get the first train home around 6am instead of a taxi. |

Jesus..i'm 29. And even I couldn't stay out till 6am.
I go out with my mates most weekends and I leave around 1am'ish..unless I pulled. |

I think if we ask people what date suits them best, we'll find we can all make it on the 3rd week in August 2012.
You may be best throwing a dart at the calendar and we all hope for the best
I once tried to organise a works reunion and gave it up after 20 interested parties all requested a different date  |

Well I went to a party at the lovely OPs home last year, as did lots of other forum members. So I can only go on what I know and say in my view I'd happily book a travel arrangements to attend something the OP was organising.
How ever I took this as more of a "let's go out for a drink" rather then an official type social. |

we've attended a party at OPs home in the past and its a fair way for us. Had a great time. Just dont play jelly roulette. |
