I found it too upsetting to watch in the end. We should respect our elderly & give them the dignity they deserve.
I know we are shown the worst cases here, I do know some brilliant carers.but this made me mad on behalf of the elderly residents.  |

I've never been so angry.....
The nurses who have abused the residents should be criminally tried for assault but nothing will happen as big business who own the homes only care about profit
it's a sorry state of affairs if we cannot care for our elderly in a proper and humane manner |

Quite. Carers do a challenging job and are paid very little with not much in the way of training. They are not qualified nurses. So unfortunately, you will end up with these situations. |

we only get minimum wage and care greatly - im glad i work in the community as i think i would end up doing time if i worked with carers like those ggrrr |

its not just the elderly it happens in all care homes the staff are not trained enough and the care homes are out to make as much profit as they can I would NEVER put my mum in a care home no matter how hard it was to look after her |

I cared for my mum for 8 years to keep her out of care homes. Damn near killed me - literally. But I reckon she wouldn't have survived more than a year in one and would have been miserable. |

the discrediting the elderly is normal so nobody believes what they say
why do they keep revealing these problems but do nothing.. seems the care quality commission are not doing their job properly |

My ex used to work in a care home and some of the things she told me about what the Filipinos did made me wonder how they could be classed as a "carer" 
She was so disgusted by it that she left and is now much happier working in the community. She even brought a few old dears back on her break and we would sit and play cards for an hour or two  |

a family member was in a mental health unit she too left as she couldn't be one of them she was told not to speak to the patients and if they knocked on the door the blind was pulled down something has to be done
my hubbys mum was in a care home years ago she couldn't communicate after a stroke and was always in tears now im wondering |

I couldn't watch it either, it made me cry!!
It horrifies me to think that one day my daughter will be cared for in a respite care home for the disabled. And because she can't talk i will be having hidden cameras all over the place ...Ruby |

I can assure you that if your daughter was in the residential home for the disabled that I work in she would get all the love and care she needs.Dont tar us all with the same brush. |
