I only have one sister and as kids we had our ups and downs, But as we got older we are very closer and I could never think of not getting on with her . My mum hates her sisters she got on with brothers . So do you get on with yours. ? |

My family everything to me and that's my sister too and I look at my mum and think its sad she don't even chat to them and not seen for years . over silly things really . |

Yea, I have a younger sis and brother who I get on great with, although me and my sis tell each other "secrets" (yea, sad b*stard), we go for coffees and chats regularly.
Yet my younger brother and sis DON'T get on weird. |

If i got asked this a few years back. I would have said no to neither. Now I don't find my brother so bad, but I think I have always been closer to my sister than my brother and that's not going to change. |

Only my little sister and my oldest brother.. the rest I wouldn't spit on if they were on fire...there really is no love between me and my older sisters at all . But I'd move heaven and earth for my baby sister

I have 2 sisters one older and one younger and get on with them great.
I see them both every week, with or with their families.
I've very lucky because I have a very close family. |

i have 2 sisters, one 2 years younger and one 7 years younger.
i am close to both but have never had an argument with the youngest one, me and the middle one used to fight like cat and dog until i went away to uni, when i came back i think we had both matured and we are closer than ever now |

we were best friends growing up.. i spent hours helping him with his reading and writing in early secondary years.
my mum n dad split up, mum left and i went my own way and moved to devon.
he started to go truant, wasnt eating corectly and the school thought he started smoking.. i felt it was my fault that i abandoned him.. i was chicken n just left him there 
years on he's turned his life around and got a degree (super proud) but we barely talk to him and i hate myself for running away from a situation when ii should have stuck around for him. |

I have four sisters: one in London (not seen or spoken to her since our mums funeral in 2002, a sister in Staines not seen or spoken to her since our dad's death in 2009, a sister in Leeds not spoken to her this year and a sister in Milan I speak to every day who I love more than I can say.
If I never saw three of my sisters again I could care less, not speaking to my sister in Italy isn't worth contemplating! |

cute don't hate yourself as we all change with age maybe you could not cope your young it's a lot to handle and I bet really you have helped him a lot over the years. xx |

I really trust my sister and I know day or night she will be there for me as I would for her too . One of mums sisters died she did not even go to funeral I only knew after it was over . |

I have a brother, five years younger than me. As we get older, I seem to be getting more distant from him.
Between him and his wife, they are financially comfortable, have the best of everything, great holidays etc.
But he's become the stingiest person ever. He forgets birthday, Xmas and other cards, yet if I sm late sending cards to him, hid wife and son, he whinges.
When I was out of work a few years ago, I couldn't afford to travel to spend Xmas with his family, even though it was only 90 miles away. He "didn't have time" to visit me.
My birthday is 6 days after his wife's and hers is 5 days after his, yet he still forgets.
He forgot Xmas last year; he appeared surprised when I complained, as if you could forget that occasion. He was even more surprised when hr got it both barrels before I hung up!

So do you get on better after both barrels fired ? I think time go passed people don't chat or call each other and some how people just drift apart at lest you two are still chatting that's something but yes it must of hurt you at the time thinking they never cared . xx |

Never have been close to my brother. Seen him about twice in the last decade, will probably never see him again. Spy on him occasionally on FB as he has low security settings and he seems happy enough. No real animosity (on my part at least) but nothing in common.
I envy those with a close relationship with their siblings |

got two brothers i am close to them both, well as close as i can be seeing as they are on the other side of the country and the world in ones case.
But growing up i didn't get on with them a lot of the time, i think growing to appreciate what you have got and accept others faults as part of what makes them unique goes a long way. |

Xmas was the last straw! This had happened every year for at least the past 6-7 years and I'd had enough! I know him well, the fact he did not argue his side means he knew he was in the wrong! But he hasn't apologised yet. I won't make the first move, as that will only meet the fact that he needs to be in charge. |

2 sisters, 3 brothers, had our spats over the years, but wouldn't be without them. We drive each other nuts at times, but always end up laughing g, n god help anybody who upsets any of us, piss off 1, and you face all 6. Lol |

Got 2 older sisters (8+9yrs older) and 2 younger brothers (2+3 yrs younger)
Get on like a house on fire with one brother the other and eldest sister we talk and are protective of each other
The youngest sister we haven't spoken to since my dad's funeral 6 yrs ago and don't intend to
Even my mum won't go out of her way to contact her
Even said she doesn't want her to know she's dying until it happens and the funeral is arranged (been given a yr tops) |

I have an older sister who I haven't spoken to in apprix 2 years and I don't know if I ever will again. She's a selfish, nasty, jealous bitch!
I also Have a younger adopted brother who has learning disabilities. He lives 400 mikes away and is 18, we are as close as can be in those circumstances! |

I have three sisters who i love dearly and im sure they love me but as the accident i was begrudged when i was little as they had to cart me around with them which wasnt good for their dating lol, we arnt what you would call close in the normal sense and rarely speak but they are always in my thoughts.

Me and my brother used to always fight but since he moved away and I see him every other week we have formed a really strong brotherly friendship and we get on like a house on fire !  |

I'm have 1 sisters and 3 brothers and we get on amazing well, we chat and see each other most days. Although my sister has been stopping with us for over a month, and all 3 brothers are here ATM (my hubby's poorly) It's safe to say i love them but will be very happy when they go home, and I can get back to having some fun |

I have 3 younger sisters and we used to be very close. But since my dad died in 2008 we've just drifted apart and no longer talk to each other. Seems my dad was the 'glue' that cemented us together.

I have two sisters, Tweins, and I'm the oldest, and always took the flak and paved the golden way for them.
As we've got older we've drifted further and further apart and I wouldnt care if I never saw them again.
My mother has gone the same way, and to be honest I feel better in myself and don't feel I have to justify my actions.
The last straw was when I found out my mother was racist towards my black friends!..

I have 1 brother and 2 sisters,
1 sister only lives a few doors away she is a diamond but married to a grade a knob
The other, you only see her when she is after something and my big brother we don't see much of him, but if I need help or he needs help we know a quick call either way and we are on it in a flash |

I have a younger sister and brother and love them to bits, as they do me. I guess we don't have to see each other all the time but we are often in each others thoughts. I'm lucky in that I was brought up in a close and loving family and my three children are just as close and supportive and loving of each other.
I feel genuine sadness for those who are at war or estranged from siblings as it's not something I've experienced. |

Although me and my brother used to have raging fights as kids we were, ironically, very close.
As adults we are still close but since growing up have never argued or fallen out, and we are now both in our fifties. |

i have 2 brothers.
1 i get on ok with.
he lives back at home and is ok, although a little lazy and selfish, and my parents still look after him like he was 10, ut hey ho.
my other brother is, to me, a waste of space arsehole.
he has a family and has spent the last few years ignoring his son from another relationship.
he has a shitty dead end job, ut refuses to even look for a better one because they would lose most of the benefits they qualify for.
a couple of years ago my mother was gravely ill in hospital, and for the 3 weeks she was there, he couldnt even be bothered to go and visit her, and that was the last straw for me.
i wouldnt shed a tear if i heard he had died tomorrow, and thats the gods honest truth |

my mum hating her sisters played a big part of me loving my sister . I see how nasty she would get as a kid just chatting about her sisters . I am very close to my sister thank god . xx

One sibling, a sister who died 8 years ago. Made those arguments that we had at times seem so trivial afterwards. Loved her to bits and still miss her now. If I could turn the clock back I would and would have realised some of our disagreements were not really worth it in the long run. Its like that saying, you don't realise what you have until you lose it. |

Two brothers, one close in age, died quite young, it was and still is like having my heart ripped out. Eldest brother will always need my support and will get it till the day I (or he) die. Brotherhood  |

im in a lucky situation as my parents have made ME executor of their wills, so there will be no ambiguity as to what is done with what they leave.
i have made my feelings well known concerning any monies to be left to my eldest brother, and what i would like done with their house, and i think they have been quite receptive to it.
just hope i dont have to deal with him in person when the horrible time comes, because i dout i would be able to without punching him square in his smug ugly face! |

I love them both dearly but im much closer to my brother than my sister, mainly because when we were younger my sister was the bully of the family as well as being the attention seeker so me and my bro had to band together or we didnt stand a chance. My sister is still like it now, shes only happy if her and her kids are the center of the families attention and if they arent she will cause some kind of scene to get it back by going into one of her "moods", me and my bro just leave her to it and ignore her whe hes like that, purely because its the attention shes after and it drives her insane that we dont rise to it. |

Older brother (+2yrs) younger sister (-1yr) plus 3 nieces and 2 nephews we all get on well, my sister lives 2 doors away from me and is on fab too!! My brothers in same town too as are our parents (35yrs married) We see each other all the time, holidays together, bbqs, birthdays, Christmas, wouldn't be with out any of them...!!.x |
