If there is any sport fans among us I'm trying to get as many people as possible to give a minute of applause at the 61st minute of all sport figures this weekend in her memory.
As you may have seen she tragically lost her life while doing the job she loved for 40 years, teaching.
Please share where ever you can to show we won't be beaten.

Whilst this is a very noble thing to do, I'll be very surprised if it will happen.
The two clubs who have held similar things albeit for different reasons were Aston Villa and Hull City. Villa's was for a player whom had cancer and I think it was initially organised by the club which was a minutes noise at a time that matched his shirt number, I don't know if this still goes on but it occurred for many matches. Hull's fans were protesting against their owner and took it on themselves to make a lot of noise at a set time in a match this season against the clubs wishes to draw attention to their desire to remain named Hull City rather than Hull Tigers.
As for your suggestion, the best option would be to write today to the clubs in the vacinity, ie maybe all clubs in Yorkshire of any sporting ilk and try to garner support for the idea through them. You could also go on fans forums for those same clubs and maybe garner sufficient support that way.
Most clubs though, I would have thought, would want a family member to agree with the idea in the first place before giving it official backing and at this sad time thats unlikely to happen as the approach is unlikely to be made.
In Merseyside, leaving aside major disasters or tragedies such as 9/11, Hillsborough and Princess Di's death that I can remember in particular, there was different acts of remembrance to honour those that had been murdered for both little Jamie Bulger and Rhys Jones. In Rhys Jones case, he was a young lad killed on his way home from playing footbal after getting caught in the cross fire of a gun attack betwen two gangs. He was an Everton fan and a minutes silence was held for him at both Everton's and Liverpool's home games. At a later time his parents came to Anfield, his Dad wearing the EFC shirt if I remember right, while for the first and only time the EFC theme tune of "Z Cars" was played prior to singing YNWA which his parents were deeply touched about.
The key to this being that the close family were consulted to ensure that no unintentional offence was done.
Best of luck with your idea though. |

Thanks for your feedback, already have it posted on the leeds fan page, and received 30 likes between 2-6am this morning ad well as on the championship banter page plus know a few friends have shared the details.
If it happens it's a good thing to show we won't be beaten by mindlessness, if it doesn't was worth a try |

"Great stuff! So everything`s fine and dandy now?
Did anyone say it was fine and dandy?"
I think it was an attempt at humour hpc
Fine and dandy is allegedly the term the lad used after he had stabbed her |
