Apparently the artificial sweetener in the diet and max stuff is really bad for you. Used to always get the diet stuff until I read about it. Just get the normal stuff now |

Wonder what it does? Will google it, if I dare. |

"Partner is a Pepsi Max addict.
No calories. No sugar. No fat.
Ok theres caffeine in it but other than that,
Is there anything bad at all about it?"
Aspartame - the sweetener used.
Depending upon whom you ask, it's got all sorts of risks associated with it.
Diet drinks sweetened with sucralose are supposed to be better. None of the big drinks brands use sucralose; they all use Aspartame.
Many supermarkets use sucralose in place of aspartame in their own brand diet drinks. Asda and Sainsbury's do. Tesco don't. |

My favourite main brand Cola is Pepsi Max (and the Wild Cherry Pepsi Max).
I've mostly switched away from drinks with aspartame in though.
I like Asda's tropical no added sugar drink and the pineapple and coconut one.
I'm drinking more water and fewer other drinks though, overall. |

Put say a two pence coin in glass of any of the mentioned drinks watch what it does to the coin then imagine what it does to your insides.
Diet or normal its same result.

This sounds entirely plausible until you realise that our stomachs contain hydrochloric acid with a pH of between 1 and 3, (i.e. very acidic).
The effect of acidic drinks on teeth is not in dispute but I've never seen a study of the effects of acidic drinks on our innards. If there is one, I'd be grateful if someone could direct me to it.
Everything is acidic once it's passed down the throat and reached the stomach!
Comparing action of acid on metal and action of acid on tissue isn't comparing like with like.
As an example, baby oil degrades latex, but is safe for use on skin. |

Diet Coke fan here, have been for over 30 years. I wean myself off now and again when people have a go about how bad diet fizzy drinks are but I always go back. I'm allowed one vice surely |

There are worse habits to have, certainly |

"I prefer fresh fruits juice don't drink frizzy drinks is bad for ur health "
Fruit juice is high in sugar and also very acidic.
It depends on what you consider "bad for your health" to mean.
Practically anything can be considered bad in one way or another. |

Coke for me, diet, preferably the citrus one.
I used to drink full fat and could easily drink a litre a day. I was then tested and found to have type 2 diabetes. Changed to diet and have knocked the consumption dropped to. My score is now normal and tbh that is really the only change I've made to my diet |
