Just watching the Billy Connolly film "The Man Who Sued God".
Say there was a hypothetical country (for the sake of neutrality) which was atheist (having no official church like the Church of England) or made up predominantly of a certain religion (like Christianity in the UK or Islam in Iran.
Where would this leave the Act of God aspect of insurance?
Would they just find a similar non-religious reason to not pay out?

The number of things which can be defined under "Act of God" probably make up the majority of reasons why people take out insurance.
