It could be either a comma or a full stop depending on the sentence. However the punctuation mark would come outside the bracket, unless what was within it required punctuation. At least I think that is right |

You (can) order them (in [any way, you please]). So long as people can understand what you're saying. There are no real rules to grammar or punctuation, just accepted conventions - and they change. |

The full stop finishes the sentence though, which the bracketed section is part of.
In your example, if the full stop were inside the bracket then the brackets would have been opened within the sentence and left unclosed at the end.
I hope that makes sense. It was more difficult to explain than I expected. |
