I hope Liverpool win the EPL outright, they are playing the better football & on the anniversary & never forgetting the tragic events at Hillsborough & all the innocent Liverpool fan's who lost their lives, it will be a fitting tribute to the 96 fallen. God Rest Their Souls.

England and Wales

As a neautral i dont really care who wins.

Got no feeling for either of them but looking forward to an intriging game.

I dont expect lpool to run riot as they have been doing lately against a jose chelsea team who are all experienced players...

Will be too tight a game to predict a score and too be honest i dont think there are too many football experts on here anyway to help us out.

I can't predict it. Obviously I hope LFC win. I think it will be wonderful to win the Premier League title for the first time but I still can't see beyond the next time. I am sick of it just being about a glorious 70s and 80s and would like to have a glorious present. I think LFC deserve the title because of the way they've gone about it. Gerrard deserves to be in a title winning team. Rodgers appears to be an excellent young manager. Suarez has redeemed himself this season no matter what others may say. And the whole squad have displayed unity throughout and deserve to be Champions. Finally there would be something special and fitting about them winning it in the 25th anniversary year of the Hillsborough tragedy. JFT96 YNWA

Good result if your a chelsea but my god chelsea are such a negative team. Spend hundreds of millions of pounds on players, and that's the sort of negative performance you get - men behind the ball, break on the counter attack.

So your saying watching chelsea if your a netural that against the best teams you enjoy watching that sort of performance?. At least with Man utd(im not a fan by the way), at least they have a attacking ethos they try to maintain.

But Liverpool are generally entertaining to watch, Chelsea are often pretty awful. The Champions League match, never mind park the bus, they parked an airbus .

Although I don't like any of the teams who could win I would like football to be the winner. For me over the course of the season, that's Liverpool.

generally its tends to be a lot easier to play like the harlem globetrotters from a position of being ahead.....

as the champions league game... one team went in with a plan and executed it well.... the other couldnt figure it out... if at the end of the day that teams wins the trophy will people remember how they got there....... probably not....

the only irony in it is that west ham did the same thing to chelsea... remember the 0-0 at stamford bridge when chelsea had 32 shots on goal and west ham had one... and jose called it "18th century football"..... maybe jose learnt something from big sam!!!

yes liverpool had been lights out for the last 11 games before this one... but that is where fans have short memories! before the run started the teams who were playing the best football were chelsea and arsenal.....

I think people definitely do remember how titles are won and lost.

We won the league last year with a mediocre team and lack of creativity.

I'm sure I'm not alone in remembering.

Well actually we we're forth and well on target to achieve the seasons initial aim which was qualification for Champions League. However, due to Rodgers bringing the best out of the team and embarking on an 11 win streak before today's loss, Liverpool remain very much in the title race and likely to finish at lowest 2nd place. It also demonstrates just how poorly Arsenal have done over the last 12 matches, just 15 points out of 36 compared to LFC's 33 a full 8 points better than the next best team, Chelsea.

I always expected LFC to drop some points during the run in, but still expect Man City to drop at least a couple of points yet and the title party is still very much on for Anfield in 2 weeks time.

Yes true but chelsea and city and arsenal have been involved in other competitions while lpool have been sitting at home watching

And chelsea fielded a 2nd string today , cos of injuries and suspensions

Although not scoring as many goals as city and pool we have a the 3rd most shots on target so we can't be that negative can we

If Brenda rogers thinks its "easy to defend " why the hell didn't he try it

I'm a neutral, enjoying this years title race and i think there may be a few more twists and turns to come. Its still not over yet and teams fighting against relegation at the bottom can always cause shock results as we've seen many times before in the past.

Everton may well get champions league football next year on what you could call a modest budget compared to Man city, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd, etc.

Hopefully we will get rid of Torres and get a couple of proper strikers next season and start playing attacking football. We have such a fantastic midfield, we should be playing with flair.

I personally never wanted Mourhino back, but you cant deny he gets results.

Final . Slight chance of winning the premiership . I will settle for that "

As a soon to be Premiership team fan ( Blue army! ), think all 19 other Premiership sides would look with envy at CFC, with this Wednesdays game in mind. Four trophies to go fro each season: CL, Prem, FA CUP and the other one lol, take out the CL, and you have three.....don't forget Chelsea won the CL playing the drabbest football, and who cares, it's about results. I would suggest, that if this is a Chelsea team that are playing damage limitation football, of all the Prem teams to watch, with spending in the summer, Chelsea are the ones to watch. Liverpool, this maybe your only chance for a long time at the title....

There is nothing wrong with having a wealthy owner as long as it is dne right, I support Liverpool and we have wealthy owners, but they don't just throw money at the club, they don't decide on what players the club buys unlike Chelsea, They don't buy the best players (mercenaries)because they cost £xxm. The owners of my club are keeping the identity of my club and have a very good vision, We buy a player if they are needed for the right price. Look how soulless the Etihad and Stamford Bridge are, what sort of clubs puts plastic flags on seats before the game for the fans to wave

If a rich Sikh or Arab or Russian came and bought my club and just bought the best players in every position, I would be devastated!!!!

Look at Suarez last year, will he won't he stay, he stayed, because of Bale. Why? RM spent their money on their landmark signing last summer. Suarez will be gone this summer, to Madrid, fact. FIFA have also "decided" that both Man City and PSG will both "avoid" exclusion from the CL, under FFP. Surprise, surprise. Money doesn't talk? Get a reality check, it does, always has. FIFA and UEFA as well as the FA stink to high heaven of collusion and exclusion. The big clubs, with the big benefactors will always have it loaded in their favour. Unfortunately, to get into this " elite" club, you need either a/ hugely rich benefactors or b/ opportunistic speculators. It's the leviathan that the PL and World football and us fans have created.

"Look at Suarez last year, will he won't he stay, he stayed, because of Bale. Why? RM spent their money on their landmark signing last summer. Suarez will be gone this summer, to Madrid, fact. "

Well lets actually really look at the "facts" concerning Suarez.

It's definately true that Suarez wanted to leave Liverpool last summer for various reasons the biggest one not being involved in the CL.

Speculation partly led by the player and his agent suggested RM wanted him, the only club to actually bid was Arsenal whom appear to have been mislead over the terms of a contract that they had no legal right to know anyway, and in the end Arsenal ended up looking like complete fools.

Liverpool's owner, John Henry then publically stated that Suarez wouldn't leave last summer due to footballing reasons whomever and from whichever country a bid came in from. Although that wasn't tested by any other club, the genuine belief is that once that was said Henry wouldn't have sold whomever bid and he'd have kept the player just as Levy of Spurs did previously with I think it was Moderich.

Suarez has now signed a more lucrative contract for himself. While the contract terms have never been made public, the press speculated that there was a minimum buy out of 80 to 100 million pounds and I suspect though have no knowledge that that would only be triggered by LFC failing to qualify for next seasons CL.

LFC have guaranteed group stages for next seasons CL as a minimum and Suarez has looked and behaved as a much more contented member of the Liverpool squad throughout this season.

RM may or may not test the water but will have to do so with a world record bid and then if the player says he wants to leave (and handles things properly this time) Henry and co will have to decide what to do then, ie take a risk like Spurs and cash in or stick and hold firm. Whatever they do, it will be done in the best interests of LFC.

For the record but not as a fact, I firmly believe that Luis Suarez will very much be at Anfield next season leading the line for The Mighty Reds in both the PL and CL whatever happens over the next 12 days. The only element that might jeopodise that is if LFC are seen to fail to invest in additional players this summer to give the squad greater depth and strength in order to compete on a slightly more level playing surface with City & Chelsea in England and PSG, Barca, Bayern and RM etc abroad. My belief is that LFC had a £30m budget plus player sales without CL and probably a £60m to £80m budget with CL, the key is how the manager spends it and most importantly how they gel as a team unit next year.

Clearly City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Man U will invest heavily this summer, some to improve, some to rebuild and LFC will definately be in the market to improve and build on an already strong first team.

Clarification noted, the fact that so many foreign investors and speculators buy into clubs and the vast sums of money, required simply to compete was my point. Re Arsenal ( Hotlips is a gooner ), is self financing, because of the move to the Emirates. They realised that the only way to compete was increase their gate revenues ( the model of the PL and the football league is that the majority of turnover is through this income stream, unique in world football ), to be self financing. The fact that foreign investors want a piece of this simply emphasises this. Re Liverpool: they are in a similar situation, excepting they can't build a new stadium at the moment. Having a son who is a fan and having done the Anfield tour ( twice ) and been to pre season games, three things stood out: 1/ what a community club steeped in tradition and history ( not all good too, why the Hillsborough memorial isn't part of the tour I will never know) 2/ The History of Liverpool/trophy room was drab and very dated and finally 3/ the staff are truly frustrated that they could not sell another 20000 tickets for each home game, at say £40 a ticket, that's an additional £32million in lost revenue over 20 home games a season. Try and get a ticket for games at Anfield.....Re Suarez, he had little choice but to stay. RM always make one landmark signing, because it's an election winner for the elected president. Modric still hasn't been paid for, Bale was their key target last summer. Arsenal, had they had some sense should have offered a lot more than the £1 over LS buy out clause. Instead they pay roughly the same for Otsil, a good player, but one who won't win the league. Suarez will. Add his goals to the gunners total. RM will make an offer for LS particularly if they win the CL ( 0-4 at Bayern....) and the monies they get from that. When Liverpool get an offer ( and they will ) that will be a new world record: he's the right age, sells seats, re-sellable, they might squeak but RM usually talk with hard cash, LS might not say it, but if RM come calling, you simply don't say no ( and he publically stated he didn't want to be in the Premiership, wanted to go to Madrid last summer ! ). Football reality, sadly.
