It'll be fine. Move around, use the rooms and ensure that it looks like you are at home.

Make sure your on lockdown, Doors and windows....keep the house looking and sounding occupied, keep the phone by you and a blunt object, maybe watch home alone for some tips too lol......really though, use loads if common sense and I hope your ok! Keep us posted though the chances of anyhthibg happening are fairly minuscule....

im often home alone and im ok til i hear a noise - seems with the local neighbourhood watch and estate facebook page im one of the few not been done - word must be out ive nothing worth nicking - relax you cant live worrying - just do as much to secure your home as posssible xxxxxxx |

I clean for a friend and he was broken into Friday afternoon, we have chatted on the phone about me coming a different day to clean so that it looks like someone is in the house every day but that might mean I would have to go there alone |

Here's a true story.
When I was 11..a burglar broke into my nan and grandads while I was asleep on the sofa.
He woke me up with noise..I watched him walk straight past me and steal my nans bag.
I waited till the morning and said "oh grandad..just thought you should know some bloke stole nans bag lastnight".   |

Invite a few guy's from here round to keep you safe and some company
Seriously though. Crime prevention officer will come round and check house advise any upgrades to security needed. And give tips.
Don't leave windows open even if in house just in rooms you are in.
Keep valuables out of site of windows and letterbox
Don't leave key's near letterbox
Buy a big maglight torch keep by bed (honestly officer I was using torch to see I only used it for protection when they attacked me) keep your mobile by your bed at night.
Buy a big fuck off dog
Don't answer door to strangers.

Between my wolfdog & the kids Lego all over the place they would be more than seriously injured after 2 steps in any direction

Having been at home when someone attempted to break in... It is very scary not just when it happens but for sometime after.. Coming face to face with someone who wants to ransack your home isn't very nice at all |
