Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Do you feel you are misunderstood on here?

Come on, get it off your chest and let's get to know each other better.

It was a thread to infuse some humour - it's obviously not aimed at anyone who has blocked me x

no idea, the problem is there's no emotion in front, if your talking face to face you can usually gage by peoples face how to take what they are saying, where as on here you can put a sarcastic comment men as a joke and people can take it serious and get offended

I seem to get that a lot

I don't think I am. I think everyone knows I see life as one big chance for mirth and messing about. I hope that comes over in everything I do, whether it be engaging check out peeps in crosstalk conversations, or asking someone to hold my whoopee cushion whilst I get something out of my hand bag on a night out

I forget that my dryness can read more cruelly than intended. I get that. But I'm not changing my tone to please the readers either. Fab is fun yet it often seems so serious! My threads are to get some banter going - not a thread about what crisps we all like.

No not really.

I think if you come under attack (I have with some zeal but I may have asked for it) you can look at things a few ways, you can take a stance that nobody gets you and fall into a bit of a victim complex, or you can reflect on whether anything about your own behaviour led to you ending up feeling misunderstood, apologise if you think you were being a dick (or don't if not) and chalk it up to experience.

And don't forget some people positively enjoy the idea of being misunderstood. It's what singles them out as special.

I think anyone can be misunderstood without context, both on a forum and in 'real' conversations. I don't like upsetting people and occasionally worry my sarcasm gets misread and might cause upset where none was intended - but the alternative is saying nothing. I have chosen to occasionally say something.
