Surely what makes a special party stand out from non-special party is undefinable - otherwise you'd never have non-special parties that the special parties could stand out from.
I think I'm saying it just happens and can't be manufactured, but if anyone else has a better idea of what I just said, feel free to jump in! |

Absolutely - that non tangible quality of chemistry which cannot be predicted for you do not know for sure how people will "chemically" respond to one another.
However, what I am wondering - what can you do as a host to create the right ambience. Now for me personally it is about music, soft lighting, a comfortable and clean place and feeling welcome and with the "right people" - in addition would serve certain drinks only but not others, certain foods etc... |

Yes one can invite people, be ready and organised, but though people might be likeminded, they may not like each other ie if its the first time they've met, so yes i understand |

Quite true - and while we never expect anybody to do anything other than enjoy themselves in whatever way they want, socially, playfully - sexy ways or not - it is nice to be able to facilitate that feel good factor - hence my question about other party organiser's experience. |

well i think being with people like ourselves atleast gives everyone a good chance of getting along.
