its very very cleverly done, to make the character that everyone SHOULD feel sorry for, the strongest character, and most respected, of the cast.

Couldn't agree more, he will certainly never go down as a comedy genius. I feel sorry for this generation. To think we had the brilliance of Kenny Everett, subtlety of ronnie barker and character acting of David Jason. What they have now seems very poor in comparrison. |
