But so many to choose from. I quite like Niteclub by the Specials.

Too many good basslines for me to list so off the top of my head No, No, No by Dawn Penn, anything James Jamerson ever played on, Come As You Are by Nirvana, Superstition (and I know it's not bass in the traditional sense!), Kool Thing by Sonic Youth and normally anything involving a big muff or rat pedal!

That's true, but that's probably the only Rush song that the vast majority of people might have a chance of knowing

Guy Pratt was in my year at school, and although he replaced Roger Waters, he was more into The Who.

John Entwistle had a mansion in the Cotswolds 2 miles from our school & we had a few guided tours where he showed off his vast collection of bass & acoustic guitars. Happy days

Aye John was lovely as a local boy.. miss him popping up to support local bands or simply out shopping. Now we're stuck with Winnie and he'd turn out for the opening of an envelope.

School 2 miles away though? Thinks.. Chip, too far.. Burford.. Too far, B Vale.. too far. ?????????

Does one of the best stand up shows I've ever seen! A friend of mine hangs around with him on Bryan Ferry tours as she and he are the only smokers in the band!
