I've just been reading about how a defendant was shot dead by US marshals in a Utah court as he rushed towards a chap giving evidence against him in an aggressive and threatening manner clutching a pen |

It makes you smile but forces personnel will tell you a pen can be used in a stiletto style to pierce someone chest or thorax and kill them.
Oh and stiletto as in the original meaning as in a narrow bladed weapon. |

anything that is wielded with the intent to use it as a weapon or give the impression that it is a weapon is considered a weapon in u.s. law. you can commit armed robbery in the u.s. with your hand in your pocket and finger pointing to look as if it's a concealed gun. intent is the largest part of the law in both the u.s. and uk. |

"Wouldn't a taser have sufficed "
if.......they had a taser AND were close enough to use the taser BEFORE the man was able to injur his intended victim..... yes, it would suffice |

Yea, I hate it when "adults" write on walls etc (especially in the workplace). Goodness sake, grow up. Last time I done that I was in secondary school.
If you don't like someone, why not just say to them, or avoid them. At least if you say you know where each-other stands. |

I saw some heels today that looked lethal. To the wearer.
How anyone could even stand in them without breaking an ankle, or a neck, I'm not sure.
6" super skinny heel, 1.5" platform which was smaller than the ball of the foot section of the shoe (so there was a lip around the platform), a skinny little strap across just above the toes and a skinny ankle strap.
I love heels but they looked bloody dangerous |
