"nah i stick them on because it means im being cheeky! if i was being really insulting i wouldnt put one on xx
ditto
Same here!"
My sentiments entirely - when I post in more serious post mode I would not put any smilies on.
When playful it is usually smiles and kisses |

I got banned for 3 weeks
If i had used a , who knows what the outcome would had been."
The trouble is when posting - its like MSN etc = often the intended message is not received in the way it was intended. Leads to misunderstandings and conflict as you dont have other clues to the intentions such as body language, tone of voice, pitch etc.. |

I think some on here use the icons to try and be two faced. They make snide remarks or have digs that don't go unnoticed. I personally would much rather confront someone who irritates me. |

I stick this little fella at the end of most of my posts, because I'm a generally happy soul and I'd like my posts to be taken in that sense. If I want to be taken seriously with a post I'll leave him off.
Mostly though, he looks like my cum face, so the horny little blue bastard is staying...

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
If I was insulting someone, I wouldn't use any smiley..ok, poss
If I put a smiley on the end of what appeared to be an insult, it would indicate that I wasn't serious.
For example.
"You silly moo " |

Ok let's stop skirting around the issue.
If you are friendly with people it is called banter.....if you are not friendly with the person it is called having a big dig wether you put a smiley on the end to try and get around getting a ban. Simple.
Trying to dress it up with a smiley when everyone else knows it is a snidey comment just makes people look very bitchy....men and women.
Oh and Grecian......NO ONE has ever been banned for a silly one off cheeky remark.....so please stop going on about it every chance you get.

"Blue or green whatever - is said smilie of similar meaning than the yellow one? "
I think the blue/green cum face fella has a bigger grin on him than the yellow one. I just prefer the cheeky little bugger.

totally agree with you on this ...its when the comment is suddenly totally out of context to the thread on its own that i think its a hidden agenda post (snipe)
