Is it something you'd like, if so why..

Is it something you'd recoil from if so why...

The book the time travellers wife made me think.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Not for me. It's only worthwhile if those you love can be immortal too and then they'd drive you nuts and you wouldn't love them anymore.

I'll cross this bridge when I come to it.

Probably no, if you aged definitely no along with if you couldn't have children. The 126 years and 4 months promised to me will be quite enough.

My initial answer would be yes i want to be immortal but could I deal with the pain of seeing my loved ones pass before me... No

Death frightens me more than anything but it's something we have to accept.

if I could be immortal and not age or get sick I would give it consideration but living eternally with a painful disease or growing ever older would be awful. Also if everyone else was immortal anyone you had a relationship with would be way behind you in terms of knowledge and experience and that would be horrible..so on balance I've talked myself out of it

No. I don't want to be around for the end of the world and be left all alone

I'm looking forward to my death. I'm assuming I'll be old and tired and ready to go

I wouldn't want too be immortal. I'd feel very uneasy, out living my children. On the other hand to die, and live in the hear after to watch them and their children's children.... But I'm guessing that wasn't my original question.

Death holds no particular for me these days. But being ill or infirm for a long time does.

However with my hairy bumhole and unreasonably, rapidly growing body hair I maybe a werewolf awhooooo

I'd love to be immortal as long as my body doesn't age any more.

I wonder what there is to fear? We all know we are going to die at some point. I fear dementia and incontinence but not death.

No point being immortal...

It still wouldn't be long enough to work out how a woman's mind works...

It' not death per se that frightens me, more the manner in which it occurs

Having said that I don't want to live forever

Central

We are accustomed to expect to live to a certain age, such as 70s, 80s etc, so considering something different, without the full contextual details is harder. If Id grown up expecting to live for 1000s of years or forever, then it would be equally normal. More stuff would happen of course. Immortal alone, no thanks -with others, thats fine, in good health etc. Based on current health and financial needs, I will avoid immortality for now.

I always think guts would make pretty poor garters.

She'd be a virgin vampire at first.

I feel the same ^^ freaks me out.

My parents are of an age that scares the hell out of me but with each stage of their journey I suppose comes a little bit of acceptance as to the inevitable outcome..

In the natural progression of life I wouldn't want to outlive my children either.
