Things not to put on birthday cards.

It's my mother's birthday today, so I wrote her a lovely message inside as any good son would.

On the envelope though, I always have a little joke. This year I was going to write 'The old woman' in Latin, that is until Google translate told me what it would have said.

Not sure if my mother would have been impressed being handed a card with 'Anus' written on it!

Write it in beautiful caligraphy. She might love it.

I wrote it in Polish instead, she had to ask my dad what it said

I hope he translated it as "the best mother ever ever ever".

What ever you do don't write "You old Cunt".

Did that to my dad before. I thought it'd be funny. Gran had other ideas.

Was she pissed off because she'd wanted to write that?

My sister in-law is a police officer and I always write 'Cuntstubble' on her cards.

She read it by mistake and I got a proper dressing down. Didn't shout at me just made me feel so disappointed with myself I almost cried!!

A friend of mine got divorced a few years into a marriage. I wasn't too sorry to see it, to be honest. His ex didn't like me. My friend liked a drink and whenever we went to the pub quiz he'd get pissed. As a teetotaller it was obviously my fault, so I got the blame from her for this.

When they divorced I sent him a congratulatory card and asked if he still wanted the radio alarm clock that had been their wedding present
