So with the traditional bank holiday diy offers on do you consider yourself a demon or a disaster? What jobs are you doing this long weekend?

I've just painted my new bath panel and am considering painting my new door and skirting boards.

I have just watched a new garden fence go up, very nice it looks too, but Im not very good at diy myself.

I will be planting some flowers tomorrow. I don't like doing it as I don't like mud and getting dirty but I want my garden pretty

Total and utter disaster at anything vaguely practical

I Claire, am in The middle of painting the kitchen. I've already done the gloss work and the ceiling will be doing the walls on Monday as we have a party on Saturday and Sunday.

I'm a demon but then I have a very practical based job and I'm stubborn as a mule so don't like being defeated by a bit of carpentry or decorating

I'm not bad. I'm no expert but I'll give anything my best shot and I'm learning all the time.

I've got a few small woodwork projects to do this weekend and some shelves to put up.

I'm making some units so I can double stack DVDs and CDs on shelves and a printer stand to fit a specific space and allow me to keep the printer paper underneath it.

I've also got some aloe vera plants to repot but I'm less enthusiastic about that!

I'm brilliant if I have the right tools

Problem is something always goes wrong which needs a special tool to rectify. Which I never have

I'm crap at it but got no-one else to do it so I do it anyway. A botched job is my speciality.

If something goes wrong... hit it with a hammer....

Over the years I've got better at it. Won't go near plumbing or anything major, but can get by without making a mess of smaller jobs

I'm shit at diy. That's why you have tradesmen. I pay them to do what I'm not good at.

I'll do all the diy when we live together and you can pick out the soft furnishings and make dinner

I'm not much of a diy-er, but subs can always be put to good use, that's what they're for, surely!
