Now here is a little bit of a poser ....
I have a Mototola KZR K1 Mobile phone. It is just over 3 years old and the battery doesn't last anywhere near as long as it did when new.
I've replaced the battery, with a brand new Motorola (Not a copy) battery and it is still the same.
So the question is - given that the handset still works 100% and it isn't been used any more than it was ....
Do the manufacturers write a little something into the firmware of the handset so that after a predetermined period of time, the handset draws just a little extra current from the battery, thus reducing the length of time between charges ?
Maybe I'm looking too far into the situation, but it would be a way to stop people from hanging onto their mobile for too long. |

Also worth remembering when a battery is new .. as in new new, it takes time to build up its own capacity.. maybe as many as 15 or 20 discharge recharge cycles.. Always remember to fully discharge before recharging whilst this is happening or you will make the battery think it has a smaller capacity... |

Thas why I think these things are programmed to go kaputt....unless of course you have the very expensive extended warranty that costs as much as the item ...it will last for fooking ever then!! lol |
