Just caught the last ten mins of a show about the great Ray Harryhausen.
His models for his characters were/are amazing.
Nowadays though, films seem too reliant on cgi. |

I'd agree. To this day I think Bladerunner looks fresh and realistic (it was one of the last truly 'in camera effects' movies) whereas movies like The Matrix haven't aged well. |

cgi does look too perfect .. and cos i think oh its all just compuers i dismiis it without thinking of all the hard work put into it ... i love bladerunner too ... and a lot of newer films repeat harryhausen themes ... kali from the voyage of sinbad was copied nearly frame by frame as count duku in starwars |

One of my fave PE moments was in American werewolf in London. Hands down the best transformation scenes ever put on film imo. |
