I read this article and was shocked. A young girl aged 12 has given birth, she got pregnant when she was 11. The couple have been together for over a year, and claim they will stick together to bring the baby up together.
They are basically kids, they have not had chance to grow up mentally and they have a child they are responsible for. I would like to see in years to come this family to be a strong one, time will tell. |

Heard about the story, would like to see this as a happy ever after but how would you explain to your child that you are their mum and dad when there are only 12 years between you? I see a jk moment coming,,,,,,,,, |

seems very strange to me to have a kid at that age but its not something new as i remember hearing on the television about kids as young as 11 and 12 gettng pregnant, that was 30 years ago.
parents should tell their kids to use birth control. |

13 used to be the usual marry an have kids age and it's not uncommon in the rest o.f the world
Interestingly juliet from romeo and juliet was 13, kinda makes the play a bit creepy to the modern eye that doesn't it? |

"I also noticed that her mum was only 27 which means she had her daughter very young as well. On the radio as being on of the youngest grandmothers."
like mother like daughter. |

Over the rainbow, under the bridge |
I've known girls as young as 13 have babies. Without solid family support they often drop out of school eventually. Then they struggle to get any kind of employment which is sufficient to support the child. They end up on benefits and the cycle continues.
I've known one girl who's mum is only 14 years older than her. She has a 2year old son. She's 15. Her grandma was also quite young too. |

Romeo was about 15 too. Makes sense within the context of the play. |
