Tv license and i player

Just found out that if you have an iplayer and only watch catch up tv later and not instant on the same day you do not have to pay a tv license.

They do not make that common knowledge and i think if they do there would an on mass of people canceling their licenses.

Anyway if your watching tv ......then your not having fun are you xx.

Its all on the website but unless you get told you are right, they don't make you aware. I only found out from a forum post on here so we cancelled ours last year along with Sky as no one was watching it..they gave me a refund too.

sigh....unless you have a telly in the house.

If you watch 'catch up tv' on your phone you dont need a licence.

However if you plug that phone into the wall to charge at the same time you will need a licence.

And if people stop paying the license fee then there will be no more free content on iplayer
