There was a tropical fruit based alcopop called castaway that could be mixed in a pint glass with diamond white to form a 'blastaway'
slid down a few bars after necking a few of them
signs of a mis spent youth |

If anyone else lives in the weston super mare area and remembers the cider farm just down from RAF Locking, they used to sell scrumpy at £5 a gallon.
It was straight out of the vats, still had bits in it, and still fermenting! You had to drink it quick or the plastic container burst. |

"A Pangalactic Gargleblaster lol a hitch hiker fan"
More a fan of Spiders in Hull!
You could also sample a Green Monster, Fluffy Duck and Pink Pugsley, all guaranteed to give you a great night and even greater hangover! Definitely a mis-spent youth. |

That came in two strengths. Regular and Bye Bye weekend!" I first got smashed on thunderbirds when I was about 14. Felt like death the next day and even to this day just the thought of it still turns my stomach. Evil stuff!!! |

Moo?
Now that was pure genius in "get em started young" marketing!
Alcoholic strawberry milkshake!
Tasted like shit though.
And I much preferred Two Dogs to Hooch - the genuine Aussie original!

Can't believe no one's mentioned Breaker Malt Liquor - that was a fave of ours for sneaking onto school trips...also have hazy memories of dogging off a coupla pints of poor man's black velvet (Guinness n cider) in a pub in Whitehaven and then having to sprint across the road to throw up in the park |

Thunderbird, still shudder at the thought.....
White lightning, saw spots in front of my eyes...
Snowballs, just wrong...
Bulgarian red wine ( pubes and toe nails from the pressing swirling around with the sediment at the bottom ), like Castrol GTX ( other oils are available ), just not so nice
strike 5....5 cans of that and you were out.
Liebfraumilch...when the Germans do a wine, it's usually very good, like a nice peisporter or hock, but why, oh, why.....blue nun, black tower...the reason why we entered the war! |

"Snakebite, the stuff should not be sold ."
Just out of interest - why do you think it shouldn't be sold? It's a myth that it's any stronger because of mixing the two together - chemically, it would only be as strong as the stronger of the two liquids, lager or cider. Many cocktails are a mixture of more than one alcoholic ingredient, and they're sold and consumed without a problem (apart from the overall effect of the alcohol content). |
