Exactly the same as when we take a meal to punters in the pub i work at on hot sizzler metal plates, that they are hot yet why do they then put their fingers on it 
or the push/pull sign on doors that people do the opposite 
its the bad side coming out |

I have to know if its dry yet or not thats why I touch wet paint, then if my finder stays dry I say "liar" cos no one ever goes round removing the wet paint sign.
I remember once when I was a teenager my mother and I were taking young cousins to feed the ducks at a local park. Parkies had been out slapping wet paint signs all over the place. My mother touched about 10 benches none were wet, so handing the bag of bread to the young cousins she sat down - on the only bench in the park that HAD just been painted
I nearly wet myself when she stood up and had thich green paint lines all the way from her sholder blades to her knees!!!
I learnt that day to run really fast and giggle at the same time along with if there are wet paint signs DONT sit on any benches

that is exactly what I saw on friday.... big rails with "wet paint" on... bloke had a touch... must still have been "wet" and pulled the "ewww" face!!!  |

Bet you smiled! I would have. I once watched kids moving a sign on railings and someone lent on it. I made sure i got eye contact and grinned and winked!  |

thius thread reminds me of when we were on holiday in cuba a few years back.
For anyone who hasn't been there its like stepping back in to the 1950's and it appears nothing has been painted since then either, except .............. the park bench K and I decided to sit on, we both had green stripes across our clothes, looked like we had escaped from a page of the Beano!!! |

has always baffled me too....someone tells you there's a billion stars in the sky and you believe them....someone puts up a wet paint sign and you just gotta go touch it  |
