I thought it was only used as a prophylaxis for those at high risk of exposure. You still have to practice safer sex.
I have only heard of it being prescribed in the UK along with other retro-virals.
It's not a miracle protection.

They're still working on that one. So far a sugar lump with a drop of pink liquid is the only thing available and it only works on half of the test subjects.
